The FNPA Coordination Team guides and supports research and programming related to the use of the FNPA tool - including coordination of research, conference presentations and integration into healthcare systems.
Chris Seiler, MBA, Geisinger Health System
Chris has worked with Dr. Bailey-Davis on clinical integration of the FNPA since 2014 at Geisinger and continues to iterate how the tool is used in clinical practice. He led the effort along with members of Geisinger IT to successfully have Epic build the FNPA into the list of questionnaires starting with the February 2024 release so it is available for all Epic clients. Carly McCabe, PhD, MS, Geisinger Health System
Dr. McCabe is a research scientist at Geisinger, and she has been working to evaluate the use of FNPA during preventative care, like well-child visits, and its association with outcomes like weight status, blood pressure, and other lifestyle factors. She can be reached at [email protected].
Jennifer Savage Williams, Ph.D., Penn State University
Jen is a Professor of Nutritional Sciences and Director of the Center for Childhood Obesity Research at The Pennsylvania State University. Her research is dedicated to advancing child health and wellness through the prevention of childhood obesity and its related health outcomes. She develops and evaluates behavioral interventions that promote healthy eating, physical activity, and self-regulation in early childhood—foundational years for lifelong health.
Amy Moore, PhD, RD, Penn State University
Dr. Moore is an Assistant Professor of Nutritional Sciences at Penn State University and a registered dietitian. Her research centers on promoting healthy eating habits and nutrition-related behaviors to support healthy weight in early childhood. She has experience working on pragmatic trials that integrate the Family Nutrition and Physical Activity (FNPA) screening tool into clinical workflows, helping guide patient-centered counseling with parents during well-child visits.
